It seems my maternal grandmother
was way ahead of the curve when she beat up the kids who picked on her siblings... It drove her mother nuts when her daughter would come home with her dress ripped and mud in her hair, having gotten into a fight with another kid- girl or boy... (When my grandmother witnessed another girl shoving me during a school concert, she was ticked- at me ! "Why didn't you slug her ?" )
